Brigitte Anderson
Brigitte is the free spirited music loving fourth child of Bob Anderson and Hope Leap. She is a popular Radio Disk Jockey who occasionally does interviews with her favorite music stars. She is an admirer of music in a wide variety of genres and is a good musician herself, having taught herself to play a variety of instruments, among them the guitar, piano, flute, accordion, drums, tuba, saxophone, and the trumpet.
BACKSTORY
Brigitte was born 23 years ago, when Pamela, her oldest sister was already 8 and in elementary school. The sister closest to her in age was Violet, with whom she became inseparable during her first formative years. That closeness has endured to the present where considers Violet her closest sister and best friend.
As Brigitte and Violet began attending elementary and then middle school, they started drifting apart, each developing their own identity and tastes. They were still extremely close, but each made their own circle of friends.
As Brigitte got older she became uncomfortable with regular people around her, mainly because of the restraint she had to constantly have around them. She was fine interacting with one or two people at once, where she can clearly see them and can avoid hurting them with no issues. It is cases of large crowds in close proximity that stress her out because of the damage she can cause to people by accidentally bumping into or stepping on them. During her school experience she has accidentally injured over a dozen students and faculty, and each one has made her feel more weary of being present in social gatherings. This is one of the reasons that drifter Brigitte from Violet, who thrived on large crowds and enjoyed the special attention she was beginning to get as her body matured and she became the object of desire for many people.
Brigitte usually keeps to herself, not getting involved with the affairs of others. Unlike her sisters Gina and Leyla who are more keen to confront bullies and defend the weak, Brigitte won't bother unless she senses real danger or a real possibility of injury. What she won't tolerate is anything genuinely dangerous: someone actually being beaten, a real threat of violence like a gun being pulled, a person about to be run over. In moments like that she acts immediately and without hesitation.
Brigitte is a genuinely private person who doesn't enjoy being stared at, whether that means strangers visibly unnerved by her size or the opposite, men and women who find her height, her build, or her Delta features enough of a novelty to hit on or openly ogle her over it. Thus when she graduated from high-school, she desperately searched for a job that will allow her the peace of interacting with as few people as possible and also that she did something she truly enjoyed. Working at a small independent radio station gave her that opportunity, and in no time she got her own show.
At first she just played music with a little talking between songs, usually an introduction to the song or artist and talking about what they meant to her. Her voice is very sensual and pleasing to the ear. Its been found that most of her audience listen to her show to hear her speak and first and listen to the music second. It is said men returning home from work listening to her on the car radio arrive home eager to make love to their wives.
In time the producers suggested she did interviews and she loved the idea. She made a very long list of artists who she would love to interview and the station managed to start getting some to agree. The interviews usually go so well the artists exit the interview extremely aroused, and Brigitte's hero worship of her rock idols excite her very much too so it became very usual that after the show ends after the interview she leaves with the artist and have wild sex as a one night stand. This became vox populi among the artist community and soon after nearly every artist invited to the show agreed without hesitation.
Ray
Brigitte isn't especially motherly toward [Ray Anderson|Ray]] the way Pamela or Laurel are; still she carries the same instinctive protectiveness over her fragile little brother that runs through the whole family, but it stays mostly in the background, and day to day she treats him more like a regular older sister than a second mother. Where the two of them actually bond is music. Ray has been wandering into her room to listen to her play the guitar. She really liked her little brother enjoying her playing and appreciating what she enjoyed so as soon as he was old enough she began teaching him to play the guitar, and the two of them still spend hours at a time playing and singing together.
Gina
Music has given her an unexpected second bond, this one with Gina. Gina turns out to have the best singing voice in the family, a surprisingly wide range that runs from a deep, raspy low end up into a clear soprano, and the two of them have started spending afternoons together much the way Brigitte and Ray do, Brigitte on guitar, Gina singing over it. They often perform for the family during family gatherings.
Mathew Pike
Mathew, a coworker at the station a year younger than her, has been openly attracted to Brigitte for a while and flirts with her regularly, though always carefully; he knows exactly where the line is and has never once tried to push past it, which is a large part of why she's comfortable keeping their playful back-and-forth going.
That changed after an office party where the whole staff drank considerably more whiskey than they should have. Alcohol doesn't affect Meta Humans the way it affects regular people: cognitive function and motor control stay intact, with no slurred speech or stumbling, but restraint and inhibition drop off all the same, leaving a Meta freer and bolder than they'd normally allow themselves to be. Brigitte wasn't impaired in any way that mattered and was more than capable of getting herself home, but Mathew lived alone and, deep in his cups, hadn't thought to arrange a ride. She decided to see her friend home herself rather than leave him to get there on his own.
She walked him up to his apartment and stayed to make sure he got into bed without incident. As she said goodnight, he kissed her and told her he loved her. She didn't think it through, and with her better judgement compromised by the alcohol, she kissed him back, and one thing led to another; she crawled into bed with him and spent the entire night testing his bed's resilience.
She left his apartment the next morning before he woke up, hoping he wouldn't remember and wouldn't expect anything to come of it. He remembered. When they saw each other back at work on Monday, he apologized first, telling her everything he'd said that night had been true, but that he understood they'd both been drinking and didn't expect it to mean anything to her. Her visible relief didn't escape him; he thanked her for the best night of his life, vowed his head visibly heartbroken, and went back to work without another word.
She spent the day thinking about that night and walked up to him during a break, and asked him to get coffee with her after their shift that day. She was direct about it: she wasn't looking for a relationship and genuinely valued her time to herself. She watched the admission land on him, watched something in him deflate even as he took it well. But she was honest about the rest of it too, that the night together had felt good, and that if he was open to it, she'd like to keep doing it with him, no strings attached. It wasn't the outcome he'd braced for, and he agreed without hesitation. Since then, the two of them have spent Friday nights together at his apartment.
PERSONALITY
Reserved and private, most at ease alone or with a small circle of trusted people rather than in a crowd. She isn't a meddler; the ordinary conflicts and cruelties other people deal with aren't her concern, and she won't insert herself into someone else's business over a schoolyard-level dispute. Real danger is a different matter entirely, and when something crosses that line, actual violence, a weapon, someone's life genuinely on the line, she reacts immediately and without a second thought. Outside of that, what she wants most is simply to be left alone by people she doesn't know, whether they're afraid of her or a little too interested in her for reasons that have nothing to do with who she actually is.
POWERS AND ABILITIES
As a Meta Delta, Brigitte has all the basic superhuman traits all Metas have:
Super Strength.
The ability for the muscles to exert a force far greater than humanly possible.
Super Speed.
The ability to move at speeds far beyond humanly possible. This ability not only accelerates the body movements, it also accelerates metabolism and thinking speed, generating a perception of time slowing down.
Extreme Agility
Extreme control of her muscles along with her flexibility allow her to perform acrobatics and gymnastics at levels far above human capabilitiy.
Extreme Flexibility
Capable of bending and contorting her body far superior than the average human.
Extreme Longevity.
Capable of having a lifespan of several centuries or even millennia.
Extreme Durability.
Possessing a physical durability and resilience allowing her to be immune to blunt force trauma, lacerations, and penetration. Her body is essentially immune to any man-made weapon. Only a stronger meta is capable of hurting her.
Extremely Keen Senses.
Superhuman levels of hearing, eyesight, sense of smell, touch, and taste.
Enhanced Intelligence and Photographic Memory
A severely increased level of processing information (IQ), with greater ability of reasoning and deduction. Also a near limitless memory capacity and near instantaneous perfect recall.
Note that a higher IQ does does not imply the character to be super smart, since other factors influence how bright the person is, including knowledge, experience, naiveté, innocence, and emotional maturity.
Enhanced Endurance and Libido
Her level of stamina is far greater than a regular person, allowing her to perform for many hours non-stop. Her enhanced Libido also makes her ver difficult to satisfy fully.
Resistance to Alcohol, Toxins, and Poisons.
She is incapable of becoming drunk and is immune to all known toxins, viruses, infections, and poisons. Alcohol doesn't impair her cognition or motor control; it only lowers restraint and inhibition, so she gets a light buzz but does not suffer the negative effects of being drunk.
Resistance to Temperature Extremes
Her body is unaffected by temperature extremes, both cold and hot.
Structural Integrity Field
The ability to form a small energy field around her body which lets whatever she is touching or at very close proximity to any part of her body to gain a portion of her durability.
This allows her to sit on regular chairs despite her considerable weight, and to lay on top of a sex partner without crushing him.
Anchoring
Has the ability to fix herself to the ground or whichever platform she stands on and avoid being moved unless she allows it. The power of her anchoring is directly proportional to her power level. Weaker people can't move her while stronger metas may break the anchor.
With this ability she can pull down things that could otherwise lift her weight. Coupled with her super strength and durability, she can tank collisions with trucks and trains that would otherwise push her off her feet.
Reproductive Control
Has the natural ability to control the flow of her reproductive system, capable to decide if and when ovulation takes place.
POTENTIAL PHYSICAL FEATS
These are not real events but calculations of what she is capable of if she used her power to it's limit:
Two-handed deadlift
Can lift 49,100 metric tons; equivalent to lifting twenty fully assembled Space Shuttle stack at launch.
Punch force:
Can hit wit a force of 54,000 metric tons. The impact is strong enough to punch through a structural steel I-beam.
A full-force punch that connects with nothing still sends a shockwave outward, enough to knock nearby bystanders down and shatter glass out to a radius of seventy or eighty meters; nothing beyond that feels it, and no building is seriously threatened.
A full-force punch landing directly on an unprotected person delivers enough energy to vaporize the body and turn bone into a fine powder.
Kick force:
Can kick with a force of 147,000 metric tons-force. Enough to shatter heavy tank armor plating.
A full-force kick on an unprotected person ionizes every molecule in the body, instantly converting them to plasma which bursts in a bright flash of light.
High Jump:
A full power jump from sea-level can reach a height of 122.5 km, comfortably past the Kármán line, the internationally recognized edge of space, though still less than a third of the way to the International Space Station's own orbital altitude.
The force applied to the pavement for such jump releases about 345 kilograms of TNT-equivalent energy, roughly the payload of a large aerial bomb. The sidewalk slab underfoot it's blown open outright, with chunks of pavement and debris thrown a considerable distance in every direction. Anyone standing within about twenty meters is knocked flat hard enough to risk real injury from the shockwave and the projectile debris. Any near buildings take real cosmetic damage, cracked masonry and blown-out windows, though nothing close to structural failure.
Full Sprint
Can reach a speed of 1,550 m/s (5,580 km/h, Mach 4.52), faster than the SR-71 Blackbird.
Running at that speed through a city, a continuous, violent shock front runs the length of her route the entire time she's at speed, indistinguishable from a nonstop sonic boom at street level. Her wake's dynamic pressure works out to roughly 1.47 megapascals, powerful enough that nothing short of a blast-hardened bunker survives contact with her wake structurally intact, steel and reinforced concrete alike are torn apart and hurled as shrapnel of their own. Anyone caught directly in it, even well outside her actual path, is scoured away layer by layer in a fraction of a second, skin, muscle, and bone alike eroded to where only a shattered skeleton would remain.
